N-Formylamphetamine (Item No. 18597) is an analytical reference standard that is structurally categorized as an amphetamine. It is an intermediate in the synthesis of amphetamine (Item Nos. ISO60188 | 14204 | 15650) by the Leuckart reaction and may be found as an impurity in seized amphetamine samples.¹ N-Formylamphetamine is also a metabolite of N-cyanomethylmethamphetamine or N-formylmethamphetamine (Item No. 15634) in mice and rats.² The physiological and toxicological properties of this compound are not known.
