Cannabipiperidiethanone is a synthetic cannabinoid (CB) with structural similarities to JWH 250  and AM2233  that has been identified as a component of "herbal" blends illegally sold in Japan.¹ Cannabipiperidiethanone binds to the CB receptors CB₁ and CB₂ with IC₅₀ values of 591 and 968 nM, respectively.¹ Its reported affinities for CB₁ and CB₂ receptors are 2.3- and 9.4-fold lower than those of JWH 250, and 13- and 70-fold lower than those of (R)-(+)-WIN 55,212-2, respectively.¹ This product is intended for forensic and research applications.
