电中性主链是PNA的关键特征,在FISH(荧光原位杂交)中也具有优势。电中性主链对PNA的高特异性使得能够与少量PNA探针快速杂交而无明显背景信号,从而导致高信噪比并在温和条件下洗涤。用于端粒长度分析的端粒/着丝粒PNA FISH探针可提供多种荧光。
