FITC
Fluorescein (FITC) is part of the BD blue family of dyes. This is a small organic fluorochrome with an excitation maximum (Ex Max) at 494-nm and an emission maximum (Em Max) at 518-nm. FITC is designed to be excited by the Blue laser (488-nm) and detected using an optical filter centered near 520 nm (e.g., a 530/30-nm bandpass filter). Please ensure that your instrument’s configurations (lasers and optical filters) are appropriate for this dye.

Two color flow cytometric analysis of λ light chain expression on human peripheral blood lymphocytes. Whole blood was stained with FITC Mouse Anti-Human Light Chain λ (Cat. No. 555796/562053) and PE Mouse Anti-Human CD19 (Cat. No. 561741/555413). Erythrocytes were lysed with BD Pharm Lyse™ Lysing Buffer (Cat. No. 555899). The two-color dot plot depicting λ light chain versus CD19 expression was derived from gated events with the forward and side light-scattering characteristics of intact lymphocytes. Flow cytometry was performed on a BD FACScan™ system.
